Jasmine Petals and Flowers
The best Jasmine flowers grown in the Fujian province in China are picked in early May then used to create Jasmine tea similar to our Jasmine Blossom green tea. The delicate scent of the Jasmine flowers is transferred to the tea by layering the flowers in between the green tea leaves - a process that can be repeated, in some cases, up to 9 times. At this point, the Jasmine flowers are exhausted but whilst their flavour is virtually neutral, their visual splendour is still impressive and as such dried Jasmine flowers such as these are used to decorate all sorts of tea blends, each one a unique creation.
