Flowering Tea

Flowering teas, also known as Artisan, Blooming or Display teas comprise of tea leaves hand sewn together around a single flower or sometimes several. The leaves and flowers are subsequently dried and form pod like shapes.

This ancient art has been practised in China and dates back to the Song Dynasty, where the flowering teas would more likely to have been used as display teas. Recently, flowering teas have been made from higher quality tea leaves and flowers ensuring the flowering teas can be enjoyed both for their magnificent display and taste.
